I think he was asking when U2 was going to do something deeper and, perhaps, more daring like Yellow Submarine.
And Bono was pretty much dead on right. Yellow Submarine may be many things, but it's not deep. And frankly, the the Beatles had virtually no part in the film. They didn't even do their own voices.
