I ignore them, they're just a minority of bigots. They're so full of hate they'll turn on their own if they dare disagree with them. I look upon them as I do nazis or skinheads. And so many people seem to think there is still a war in northern ireland and sometimes all of ireland. I'm from Limerick, the armchair republicanism is so thick here sometimes its sickening. People chanting sinn fein and up da ra between words in fields of athenry. I'm 19, all i remember of the trouble's was news clips i didnt care about and IRA sprayed around everywhere. The troubles were last century, today it's 2009. I'm in my 20's so I dont even remember "the troubles" I live in Kilkenny ffs lol think the "Irish Americans" are getting their news a little late maybe... I'm just tired of our country being used as a foundation of hate by anglophobic Americans who seem to think the IRA rode around on white horses.

With that logic there is no Irish race either, since we all come from the same place. You dont want to live here by the way. Its boring. No offence but you are a bit of a plastic paddy, because nobody in Ireland acts as "Irish" as a plastic paddy. Its kind of obvious in the way your shouting IRA slogans and prnouncing them badly. No offence just be proud of your heritage in a more meaningfull way maybe.

Well thanks I'm glad you like the music. Mind you, I wrote this song about 3 years ago and back then I will admit I was somewhat supportive of the RA not out of hatred or prejudice but rather ignorance. I've researced the situation more since and I understand that the situation is a little more delicate/fucked up than I thought. However, my admiration and respect for the Irish patriots of old and the Irish people as a whole has not dimmed.
