this was good....feminism happened and there is no turning back. I think the goal of humanity is to have the best person in any given profession or role...when we can be the best we can be. We have to deal with each other...male or female.

I keep saying to myself, "Thank you, thank you, thank you, Gloria, for saying what I've always felt". Gloria's ideas about sex roles being fluid is just so liberating for gay males like myself, who have felt constant pressure to perform a certain, traditionally masculine function that they weren't comfortable with. Feminism is good for gay people. I mean, heterosexism is sexism too, and her ideas help dismantle it along with other forms of sexism. Why don't more people say the same things?

@Brandon112878 Sexual roles aren't fluid at all. Short of a gender change, you will ALWAYS be a man. If your not comfortable being masculine, then don't be. What you do with your life is your prerogative. You don't have to be gay to not be traditionally masculine, straight emasculated men do it all the time.

I think they should maybe explore the possibility that the glass ceiling is gone for the >25 generation and as this new generation goes through the workplace and gains the experience to be the CEOs, they will show the same result. That would explain a lot of the gender inequalities.

Thanks to the men's rights activists on youtube, all I've read on feminism, and my personal experience with the typical American female, I can confidently declare Steinem and her ilk to be intellectual lightweights. If anyone wants to hear a woman who is an intellectual powerhouse give Gloria Steinem the verbal body-slam then search 'Camille Paglia Bob Costas interview'. It's from '92.  Watch it!!

I hereby award this interview and Katie Couric, "The Golden Turd Award, 2010" for crap journalism.

This interview was as about incisive as a blunt butter knife. Can't think how much faster you have gone over the problems facing men at the start, so as to claim objectivity. The rest would have made a North Korean TV interview of Kim Il sung seem probing. You did not challenge a single point these two women made.

It is a low point in the art of TV interview journalism.

There are less woman looking for jobs, but it's often easier for them to get jobs and get into college. Woman live longer, and an attractive woman can make money easier than god. She says she wants equality, but she measures progress as woman being above men. The end of men is right, because we are the only ones who don't stand up to this BS. Katie, and these feminist failures see everything in a slanted, racist, and sexist way. Not the other way around.

More women get college degrees, more women in the workforce than men, that's a "good thing" when women are ahead of men, but it's a bad thing when men are ahead is some other things.
