This blind patriotism needs to be looked at logically. We are just born where ever by accident. Do you really think violence through the use of government force to make you do things against your will, against your voluntary will is morally right? This is what every government in the world does. These are athletes not slaves of the state or representatives of the state, but we are using them as our representatives of our own countries immoral deeds. All team sporting events are ridiculous.
