You can always pick out an uninspired artist because they have to do something 'shocking' (like depicting the act of shitting standing up) in order to get peoples attention. They cant do that by just playing good music...

I try to stay up with new musicians but its times like these that i wonder WHY.

Uninspired artists like The Stooges and Jimi Hendrix... they just made it all on shock value. Not everyone who's pretentious is talentless.

Come on, guy. They were considered shocking because they cut themselves, set stuff on fire and did all sorts of obscene acts onstage. they were remembered because they were groundbreaking. My point is not every attention grabbing, shocking musician is 'uninspired' as much as they're just tacky.
