- THIS IS THE ORIGINAL FOOTAGE -

In this video you can see Singapore Airlines B777-312ER 9V-SWQ drifting off Runway 08R at Munich Airport as it landed. We didn't realize what happend as we saw the aircraft drifting off the runway.

At the 3rd of November we decided to go out spotting as usual but it was a shocking moment, it all looked so unreal to us and we went quiet for a few seconds and then we asked ourself if this was real. And it was.

But in the end we were all happy that nobody was injured and that nothing worse happened as the aircraft was leaving the runway.

In the end we want to apologize for uploading this footage so late, because we didn't know how people would react. But here it is, it's the only footage that was actually filmed, it was a rare and special moment to us and a day we'll never forget in our lifes.

Ahaha... Almost 75% of the nation is Chinese, ~13% Malays ~10% Indians, ~3% others (including caucasians). Our national language is Malay, but English and Chinese is the most commonly spoken language. :) We're 'strange' like that because of our history.

Hi, have you tried out "Reveal Travel Deal" (search on Google for it)? I have stumbled upon some extremely cheap hotels and flight tickets. This can help you to spend less on your upcoming trip too.

This seems like a pilot error to me. Expecially if he did in fact use the autoland, as described. It's just a bit odd that he would allow the aircraft to continue with sequence if there was an obvious alignment issue like this. And, in fact why would he use only one side's reversers? I imagine that the spoilers were actually deplayed, however the 777 like many others will only deploy the side being turned into, if a full turn was being input onto the controls as it must have been. Fishy...

    read the official report:

When the B 777 was about 30 ft above the runway it slowly banked to the left. The

airplane touched down first with its left main landing gear. The Flight Data Recorder

(FDR) showed that at that moment the autopilot changed to Rollout Mode.

The calculated touch-down point was about 490 m after the threshold. In the further

course of events the airplane moved towards the left side of the runway and veered

Its seems to be the pilot's fault. The spoilers and reverse thrust were not engaged.
