Duane Betts has it NAILED!! Well, Ya would think that after living with Dad for so many years he should sound just like Him. Not only that Having Gibson sending him hand made Custom Shop Les Pauls would help.Check him, and his Father doing harmony parts here on You tube. Check out Blue Sky

That kind of jam reminds me of Django Reinhart if you remember him. It's amazing. I love this southern blues jazz boogie. The melodic scale progression, the sweeping tempo and incredible licks. Just so pleasant to listen to.

Dan Toler (RIP) stole this show. Dickey looks like he was struggling. I've seen Dickey play brilliant and like this at times. Too bad cause he is amazing when he is on.

Saw Dickey in the '90s at the Bottle n Cork in Dewey Beach, ended up leaving because he was so high the show was horrible, but this slowed version reminds me of that night, because he also slowed Jessica down to a crawl that night making it a boring tune, Southbound is a song that needs that more uptempo feel to get the energy out.

I took a bus from Tallahassee to Jacksonville to see the Allman Brothers when they were just starting to break out. One of my best ideas of the time. Saw them in Macon for the Atlanta Pop Festival with two conga players and two topless dancing girls on the corners of the stage (why? I didn't care). Cried when Duane and Barry died. The band keeps evolving from fathers to sons. I'm a fan for life. RIP Dan. The band plays on.
