Very Nice! And yes, cutting off the front and rear bulkheads of the ET will help in massaging its fit better (works best with liquid weld glues). As for texture paint, it can be sprayed on just to the seams (mask off same as you did). Lightly sand it after application and primer to blend the edges from the texture paint to the plastic better. You can also texture over the entire tank without having to sand the old stuff off. It will take A LOT of sanding to remove texture (I did, never again).
