@JohnTerry626 Thanks for clarifying, guess thats what happens when you get old! I agree, if you want an example of what a true leader looks like, you need to look no further than him.

I remember this goal. I saw Dave Poulin talk about this goal today in a Spectrum memory on comcast sportsnet. he spoke of a picture someone had taken, and given to him, from the 2nd level. I worked at an overnight photo processing plant and have the same photo he is speaking of. I found it while working the overnight shift when all the developing took place.

Bobby Clarke was a great player whose #16 does belong in the rafters.
Bob Clarke is an idiot as a GM, as hipmodyfc wrote.
He was playing with bruised ribs and was wearing a flak jacket for that game...A true leader and a class act .

@aaaaa0000000000 Sorry, that was in 1987. He was healthy against Quebec. The flak jacket was against MTL in 87 and they weren't bruised, they were broken. He was the best captain that team ever had.

It was this moment, me, just 7 years old, became a Flyer fan for life. Thanks so much. This is one memory from my childhood that I will never forget. Its been years since I have seen this clip. You should be knighted for posting it.

Thanks for the comments. For me, this is one of the greatest moments and plays of Philly sports history from one of its most special players and people.
