  • This song has been Bruin Pride at least since the Jeff Grogan days or earlier - at least a decade now. Used to be even stronger as more of the band used to be left in the tunnel even by the end of the song back when they had more people.

  • The tune was called "The Young Lions," and was taken from a 1958 movie with the same name. The players absolutely loved it back in the mid-70's, but eventually it got overused to to the point that they came to associate it with things going badly on the field. For Baylor's purposes, we began using the name "Bruin Pride," when Baylor played the Penn State Nittany Lions in the 1975 Cotton Bowl, as it wouldn't do to have one of our main songs taking a name from the opposition.

  • Yeah it's Bruin Pride. This vid is from my freshman year it The Golden Wave.

  • yeah Baylor sousaphones : )

  • BRUIN PRIDE has been confirmed by a member of the Golden Wave Band

  • Official name of the song is called BRUIN PRIDE

  • The name of the song is "Young Lions". It was put to music by the Baylor Band director in 1971. It is known now as "Stadium entrance"! The Shorthorns of Texas also played a different version, but stopped when it became linked with Baylor.

  • what is the name of this song?

  • sic 'em :)
