It takes each episode of a cartoon approximately minimum of 8 months to be completed. Zelda II had no influence on this cartoon. Even a second season might not have had any Zelda II influences yet since production would have also already started.

Its not like the game came out, they decided to play through it and then make the cartoon.

It has enemies from Zelda II show up in it. They had to have at least read the manual. Even the comic book that ran alongside the show had three Triforces.

Comics have less of production time, its much easier for a comic book to incorporate new stuff.

And no every villain is from the first Zelda, they may have appeared in Zelda II but theres no enemies or anything that was only in Zelda II that appears int his show.

Deelers frequently show up, and they were only in Zelda II. Ganon even rides a gigantic one in one episode. Likewise, in another episode a Moby shows up. Mobies only appeared in the swamplands of Zelda II. The show creators had to at least have a cursory knowledge of the show.

I don't recall them. But Moby is just a bird. And Deelers are basically just big spiders. Are they referred to by name?

If not its just a coincidence, I mean they are pretty generic. Zelda II could have had a Unicorn but thats also a generic fantasy animal.

If they ARE referred by name though then its still accurate to the games, it was probably already too late to change the premise of the show. They didn't choose 2 triforces because they wanted to. Its how it was in Zelda 1 too.

In the episode "Kiss n' tell," Link shouts out loud, "I ate two red Deelers!" and in the episode "Cold Spells," a bird attacks the castle and Zelda refers to it as a Moby. The show creators probably knew the basic premise of Zelda II but kind of forgot that it introduces a third Triforce.
