The seven years war had left the British in huge debt and it's fair since the colonists lived on British soil that they pay a fair amount of the debt threw taxes ? Yes IF the Americans had a place in parliament which they did not and thats why they revolted

the writ of assistance mentioned in this..an officer of brittian could search a persons home at any time...the patriot act allows the same thing...and all of the other reasons that the colonies went to war over..our own government does to us now..

The New American Revolution is beginning. We are being taxed further into poverty every day and you people do nothing. No taxation without representation. Remember why the first revolution was fought and take a look around yourself now. Our government needs to be stopped. The second amendment was put in place to keep the government under our boot heels. Not the other way around. Take up arms and take the power back!

The colonies didn't have that city when they declared independence, Mexico did, they stopped taking over at the Mississipi River.

@dedicatedkiller You're nuts dude. Take up arms because our government taxes us too highly? The USA is relatively tax-friendly as far as countries go. Our taxes are significantly lower than the Swiss, French, Germans, and the Danes and yet our citizens do not live as long and suffer from more chronic diseases.
Americans have been making concessions to the top 1% for nearly a generation, flatlining our lifestyles with our wages stagnating but productivity rising while the rich get richer.
