RT and me, episode one

This is the first in a series, in which "Political Entrepreneur", documentarian and Moderate Progressive Republican (says he) candidate for Mayor of Minneapolis Bob Carney Jr. tries to get Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak to first confirm rumors of an upcoming election, and then to participate in televised (and videotaped) forums with other candidates. Because Mayor Rybak may run for Governor of Minnesota (as may Carney), this may continue for some time beyond the Nov. 3 2009 election. Note: this was produced with a "paid political" notice, but Mr. Carney also considers it his copyrighted intellectual property. Broader issues are raised, including to what extent, if any, we still have a functioning political process in Minneapolis, and Minnesota, that can be considered either "democracy" or "a republican form of government".
