@ge2298 I don't see our neighbors complaining :P Philippines, in our native roots that are embedded to us, is our professions at creating music, the Maranao are a prime example of that. The fact that we can create something with just a simple jaw harp shows how much we can do.  It's not bad to develop on western styles too, but we shouldn't totally copy off of them as well, and when we do copy off of the west, we should keep a balance, and develop something new out of it as well, our own.

@ge2298 Me and perhaps at least a million other Filipinos at least are worried the Philippines is trying to act a lot like America and the west... Philippines should make it's own art, we are quite capable of doing so, instead of saying "oh we have our own this and that, just like yours"...

@ge2298 I doubt the lyrics isn't playing a bad message either way...There are better genres,rap and hip hop have been abused for so long by dirty artists...

I'd rather my country not follow them,we should be more sophisticated and epic,not adopt the ghetto parts of western culture, and if we occasionally will,at least evolve it into something better and more positive,not the exact same trash over and over, lol.That's why I don't agree with Kartilya I think Philippines should follow the far east

And besides, why should we become more ghetto? LOL this is shit, we should become more prosperous and cultured, not singing about drugs, sex, or money, as typical ghetto rap is. That you at least have to agree to.
