  • with this being said I don’t agree with what you said about the PO telling the youths to hop off the corner “b/c it was his corner and he owned it” this was just an expression also this form of policing that emphasizes drug arrests is part of the war on drugs and is highly political most POs don’t want to spend their time making these meaningless drug arrests there is a growing group called LEAP or Law Enforcement Against Prohibition 

  • Davy V makes some very good points its true that the RPD would be a better department if it had more minorities in its ranks and thus was racially more similar to the community that it polices no doubt many situations were needlessly escalated due to misunderstanding amoung PO and Civilians
