thats why the makers actually changed the story to make an ending, because in the manga the whole hotaru leaving thing never happens

you should read the manga instead of waiting for the 2nd season

the manga is SO much better and natsume and mikan's relationship develops SO much further

@TheMuffinIAm Hotaru never leaves in the anime, if your watched the ending after the credits it would continue saying she was never going far in the first place, and she would still be going to the same school :D
