My 2005 1200 Sportster Custom, modifications made over the period of 3 winters. Work on it in winter to ride in Spring, Summer and Fall.
It runs great, sounds awsome and gives me no troubles at all. All work done by me except for tire mountings.
Most recent is the tank lift, coil and ingnition relocation.

  • Thanks. I did not like the 4.5 ga. tank as it looked too bulky and traded someone for their 3.3 gal. tank off an 883. It really changed the appearance of the bike by raising the tank and clearing the cluttered look of the wiring.

The ignition switch was the last mod I figured out where to mount it. I am happy how it all came together.

  • thats a pretty good bike...will you teach me how to ride it?

  • Jackpot!!! Where did you get your fork boots?

  • That's a bad-ass Sportster.

  • Looks good, sounds great! Is that the standard tank? It looks huge! Or perhaps it is just because you raised it... I like all the mods you have made - I've been thinking about moving the ignition switch myself - but I will wait until I either re-paint or get a new tank because it has already marked my paintwork (I have a non-standard fat-bob type tank which is hard up against the ignition switch - removing and replacing the tank can be a challenge).
