Fyah Walk formed in March this year when songwriter, singer and rhythm guitarist Simon Jerrems relocated to Byron Shire from Melbourne , aiming to establish a uniquely Australian roots reggae group. With Simon joined by regarded local reggae musicians, ( including members from prominent bands Freakylou, Lion I ,Dubshack ) Fyah Walk combines elements of Jamaican , African , Native American and Indigenous Australian culture and creates a vibrant message and positive experience.
Fyah Walk are busy writing, performing and recording their first cd to be released in December 2007. Roots reggae with a conscious message. ****

Gary O Dread plays in another band ( Lion I ) and has pretty heavy family commitments , 2 little ones and more O ' dreads to come. Hugh Jones who has been playing for Fyah Walk for the past year has definantly filled the space! Fyah Walk would love to work with Gaz again someday, its all one family !
