The easier and cheaper way to do this is use a serial-to-USB convertor between the USB port on your computer and the the cable provided with the DGT Eboard.
This also reduces the risk of damaging the board internals!

You can order the conversion kit by mail at the DGT webshop. The kit is not shown in the items listed.

Great instruction video!
Without the video it seems to be complicated respectively impossible,
with this video it should be feasible (provided that you possess the accessory parts).
