He is without a doubt the BEST actot on TV. Are you kidding me? His charcterization of Gregory House is incredible - layered, nuanced, believable, insightful, brilliant!

enough with the flame wars everyone. There was some stiff competition, I personalty would have picked Hugh if not I would have picked Bryan, but that aside all of these guys are outstanding actors and all of the shows are very well written and better executed.

Honestly, awards are not about who's suffering more or who has cancer and what not. I know people feel bad for Michael, but it should be based on talent. Dexter is an excellent show, but not as good as House. I think this was a "given out of pity award" because otherwise the guild would look pretty awful.

I LOVE Hugh Laurie but Michael H Call had CANCER and still did his show and still showed up the awards ceremony. He probably deserved a win. Also, perhaps unfairly, the season of Dexter is much shorter than HOUSE, MD so they probably had more great episodes than House did.
