Small helis don't have much mass and can be thrown around in the wind keeping the pilot busy. This Dynam is a nicely done unit from Xheli.
For me it is difficult to do 3D maneuvers in the wind with tiny helicopters. They have no mass or momentum to carry them smoothly through the stunts.
But for the size, this is a pretty nice helicopter.
The head is a bit tight, so if I push it into forward flight, it wants to drift that way in hover and vice versa. I hope it smooths out, as it is difficult to hover that way.

*The main shaft is easily bent, just carrying it around, so be careful with that.
Also, the Slightest tip strike will easily break the feathering shaft, so make sure to order a set. I know, cause mine broke.
Here are some specs.
Price $179

1. Type: RTF Electric 3D Heli
2. Transmitter: 6CH RTF/ARF RC Helicopter
3. Length: 420mm
4. Height: 161mm

Uses Direct-belt-drive, to save power and lets the helicopter be very quiet.

Simple, separate servos in frame, lets flier easily install and repair.

In main frame, the use of 3 pcs belling, insures the main shaft is concentric and less likely to shake.

High-precision tail double-push frame, is more smooth and wearable.
The separate main gear lets flier install and repair easily and fast.

  • What camera do you use for the helicopter?

  • 18G from NitroPlanes.

  • Good video as always.

Any tips on mastering roll? I've only put in a few hours on ClearView sim with various helis and don't have any real problems controlling pitch or yaw, but I tend to roll in one direction, then back other way. I'm using small corrections AFAIK, but at this point I find myself rolling as little as possible to avoid having to deal with the consequences.

  • When I roll, I usually do it downwind and also keep nose slightly down at start. Do not move the elevator, and hold the airleron servo over till it completes the roll. THis heli is too small and twitchy to move the throttle pitch or elevator, so I just hold it over.
