When are they supposed to be released?

@guitarthroat Mayer got BORED at Berklee! Sure, he uses a LOT of people's licks, but everyone copies everyone. look at Joe Bonamassa. He copies Hendrix and Clapton SOOO much that it's almostlike he's playing out of a book. i'm not bashing bonamassa... I got the opportunity to interview Mayer a year ago and he said "The pop music is just for paying bills and the blues we do is primarily for fun. The fans just happen to love it as much as we love playing it."
-
@guitarthroat, Mayer said in a video somewhere that after being acknowledged by B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton; he started taking his guitar playing seriously.

@helikyler NO, that's not what it is at all. Although I am not a "famous" musician like Mayer, my own guitar skills surpass his. I don't get into the whole argument of how because he is famous and I'm not that I have no right to have an opinion. Popular doesn't mean superior in skills. I have noting against John Mayer. And I envy no other musician. That is not who I am as a person. You are a presumptuous asshole and are making assumptions about strangers online that are baseless. Grow up

@guitarthroat The guy shreds. I love SRV, Hendrix and the greats... but Mayer does really have the chops right up there with the best of them. If you can't admit it, you've either a) not seen/heard extensive live recordings of his playing, b) have some sort of nostalgic fog around your head that keeps you from admitting anybody born after 1970 could be an amazing musician or c) you just envy him and can't confess that a protege could reach the caliber of your idols.

Personally if I bought a black1 i would only play his songs on it, i wouldn't want his sound to carry over onto my work.
-
why would anyone want someone elses same guitar model, make your own, unless youre just filthy rich
-
@ooberpwnage thats a line from my cousin vinny legendary movie

he is a fantastic songwriter and has a great voice. But he does not have the guitar skills to be in the league of SRV, Doyle Bramhall II or Joe Bonamassa. I do respect his talent though. He really has his own thing going for him. I'm not really sure he sounds right as a blues guy though. He seems to really want that identity, but it doesnt seem to fit him right.
Mine is called "The Black One" but not my guitar,,
