hi. my dad has had one of these since they first came out and it is still running perfectly. we recently had it going and it all seems to be fine. all in all these mowers are great :D

@MrMoterKid You cant tell if the spark plug is good while its still in the engine.

My Suffolk super punch mower did that then i changed the spark plug and it didn't do that any more

@mbyr31 Thanks! Its the oldest one I've ever got. These are great! Probably the best engines Briggs ever made! Not good on gas, not too powerful, just decent, and reliable enough to avoid looking silly next to a rival engine. I think thats a perfect summary for these. I just hate the points system.

@bev1806 i have spark now, turns out the engine broke the flywheel key and the engine stopped sparking because the flywheel moved. i got the old key out of the 03 blown briggs engine with some help from my uncle and put it all back together, i have had it running now so all is back to normal.

my uncle told me i hadn't tightened the pull starter enough so it came loss and broke the key i have tightened it hard as we could now and the engine fires straight up. so all is good now :)
