The amp: 768watt max Pioneer 2 channel 2x30A fuses
The sub: old JL Audio W-4
The power supply: 550Watt max ATX PSU 28A@12V

What you need to do in order for this to work:

1. A power supply from a computer. Make sure it has a high amperage rating at 12Volts. the one im using is 28amps at 12volts.

2. to make the power supply turn on, connect the blue and green wires together on the main motherboard plug.

3. create a jumper on the amplifier. Connect the remote wire to the +12v power wire

4. Connect the amp to the power supply. yellow wire = 12v+, black wire = ground

thats it, the rest is cake. connect a source for sound, a speaker and ur set.

  • Is this too risky for a 1000W RMS amp?

  • @RustyNailMediaInc lol might be but i doubt it, the power supplies have all sorts of different "protections"

  • i have a crappy 300w PSU and im trying to make it work for a 1000w amp, will this even work?

  • @BanControl it will work but you wont get very much sound. and it will be hard on the power supply

  • @RWL2011 haha yup sure is my mate gave it 2 me coz he got new one or something

  • watch?v=vAkLSt3rsRY

  • @r0llinlacs but not the cheap ones !!!

  • @kent0bmx easily in your case, because that sounds like an xplod and they are overrated

  • @guzbossvid yes but it depends how many amps it gives

  • @jrmartine915 yes it will work. it will not be as loud as it could be though. and yes, its also better to combine the different power rails (yellows) and will give you more power, but is not needed for the grounds.

  • @gta4isthebomb no the amp will only take what it needs. its actually better if the power supply can produce more power than the amp demands.

  • What if you give the amp more than it needs will it hurt the amp?
