  • Exactly, we get away with it because it isnt a big deal. U proved my point, and this literally is being preformed to 3 primary scools and parents. The whole point of us doing the play in the first place is to show parents we have skills. Its like an after skool club, and if i spoke to my drama teacher aka the director, she would say differently. Look, my school has been doing plays since 1996 and we never had problems, so dont go and ruin ourvhard work. Do u know how long we have rehersed in da

You only have so many characters per comment so I have no idea what the end of your comments are. And I never said that you weren't working hard or that your production wouldn't be a success. I'm sure you are all very talented and that your audiences will enjoy the show. I was only trying to educated you on the legalities of theatre in case you decide to make a profession of it. I never made a single judgmental statement about your show. You were the one "ruining" hard work.

  • Dude this isnt a west end play, its a school play, and we arnt claiming that we wrote the play, just preforming it to primary scool and parents. And about the masks, we have handmade one for otter and owl as well. We also handmade our costumes and the school made them in sewing club or part of GCSE's course work, along with make-up. We didnt like the animals, our teacher fdidnt think it wpuld be right so we are the 7 deadly sins, except we lost lust because she dropped out so no lust, we replac

It doesn't matter where the play is being performed, the laws still apply. Community and school theatres get away with it because they aren't as big of a deal, so the companies don't keep tabs on them. Still, if you are a law abiding citizen, you would steal something just because the cops aren't looking right at you. That being said, I have been in a production of Cinderella that was INCREDIBLY illegal but I had no say in the matter because I wasn't the director.

  • Well when we did our play we ditched the whole animal thing and turned into ghost like creepy sins who destroy peoples lifes. And costure&make-up really make a difference to a character. The leotard is pretty cool but its hard to go to the toilet, literally i have to take the whole thing off!!!

  • @cooksey1010

"Ditching" the animals is quite possibly an illegal decision. When you purchase the rights to perform a show you are obligated to keep the script as it is (no additions, subtractions, or changes). There are lines that specifically say "Angerbird", etc. Taking away the animal part of the line is breaking the copyright law.

There aren't close ups in my videos so you can't tell that each actor is wearing a hand crafted mask made specifically for their face. It makes a difference!

  • Im the pirdefly in this play for my school

I'm unsure how a costume choice makes your production "way better". As a matter of fact, our costume designer won an award at the American College Theatre Festival. As I have tried to explain to the other users who have left similar comments, it's all about the director's concept and what your particular production is trying to achieve. It is also hard to judge the quality of a production as a whole when you are only seeing sections of it.

  • I think its obvious that angerbird is the best, we are doing this at my school and my friend will is gluttontaod and he weres a fat suit :) p.s ours is WAY better than this, for example each one of the sins have certain colors, e.g) anger:red, pride:purple, greed:gold, glutton:grey, sloth:brown, envy:green and blue, only downside is we have to wear leotards :(

That is correct. Lust is the only deadly sin that is not in this scene. In my opinion it is because Lust isn't after global domination like the others, but is instead focused on Ash Girl's father. She also sticks out because she is the only one that isn't an animal as well.
