The immune system attacks your own body. In the case of AS the immune system is producing ozone. Ozone is a corrosive and oxidizer. It's great stuff when fighting off pathogens but when it mistakes you for the pathogen it's not so great. It's not the underlying cause of AS but it is a side effect. This was discovered in 2003. Do a Google search for "ozone in the human body". The non profit organization called Scrippts research discovered this. It's a profound discover that is being ignored.
I didn't have an early diagnosis or early treatment and I went through ten years of denial before I could not move my head in any direction except where it is, facing towards the ground. It is nature's way of telling me to appreciate what I have and STFU. I get it Mama Nature, I get it. It still sucks like a Tornado, but I get it. Life is short because Mother Nature still has a heart and knows empathy. But, what can be done for me now? I have insurance, can you fix me? Hell no.
I'm in the late stages of AS,it's it took 14 yrs to diagnose me as a female. My eyes, heart.lungs, skin+bowel (I have Crohns).I have been on anti -tnf for 3 yrs...my 1st drug Humira made me feel amazing ,but then all my hair fell out;(.So I've been on Etnercept for 2yrs but the pain is getting worse despite high levels of Oxy Contin+Oxy Norm.I started Methotrexate 2 weeks ago+have come down with a severe chest infection.I live alone a long way from home,is this a normal reaction to the drug?
