After a hard night's work, i was awakened by this lovely sound. I am accustomed to the noises of a busy city street - the fwoosh of traffic, the voices of too-loud passersby - but this brain-drilling frequency is altogether different. Ironic, that this noise and air pollution is happening right outside the State of California building, in the self-congratulatorily 'green' city of San Francisco! Note that the operator is wearing ear protectors and a filter mask - unnecessary if he were wielding the ultimate 'green' cleaning machine: a BROOM!!!

I COULDN'T AGREE with you more!! I took cannot stand the the ear-splitting racket of those OBNOXIOUS contraptionsx!!! USE RAKES AND BROOMS!!! True it takes a lot longer depending opn the size of the area you're working in but it's WAY quietedr than any leaf blower out there!! Plus a lot of people I see using 2 cycle gas leaf blowers don't even wear adequate hearing protection or protective respiratory masks!!! That's SERIOUSLY risking your life I think!!!!
