@RonaldBlair No you can't. Let's say you're traveling out of the country. You get to the airport and they want to see your passport. You whip out your laptop and show them a PDF of it. Will they accept that or would they want the actual paper document? You cannot determine that the bc is a forgery by looking at a digital image if it.
