This video features the artistic team for "Small Steps" as they discuss script revisions while recording music that will be used in the play. Sachar is adapting his novel for the stage. The production will premiere at Oregon Children's Theatre on April 24, 2010.

  • We recorded the music for use in the play, but the actor playing Kaira DeLeon really does sing all of it live during the play. She's very talented!

  • a sequel to holes? i'm so excited! i love holes, and hold it dear to "the sandlot"... and yes, i'm almost 30 :0 he was one of my favorite authors growing up, and remains magical to this day :)
