@thejester3 ACTUALLY, we were just poking fun at him. He was catching in that "squat", because he was practicing how he actually had to catch a 7 in the 2010 Onyx show. It was choreographed. The 7's were not under-rotated. They were purposely placed lower since he was catching lower.

the only guy in our Winterguard was our opening toss last year. The opening toss in our show was the reallllly high one where ya spin before u catch it..... yeah he had to spin twice! Now im on rifle this year.... its true once you go rifle you cant go back xD

I wish I could toss a 7, I can barely catch my 6's strong.......plus our guard just moved to bigger Rifles (originally 36 in, we moved to 38 in.)or at least to main Rifle line has the bigger Rifles, everyone else has the 36. I don't know why our instructor did that......I tried the bigger Rifle during practice...my 6 instantly went down to a 5 and a half.... : /
