Some of the finest music created in the last 200 years imho.

Al Kooper era BS&T eclipsed in quality the more commercial David Clayton Thomas era band, imo. FM radio in my town used to play this great Kooper/BS&T tune a lot, 35-40 years ago. It's always been my fave BS&T song! Nice of Thomas & Co. to give recognition to Al by introducing and doing his song 25 years on. But I wish someone would upload the original too!

Larry helped me with a demo tape in 1990, when we were living in the same New Jersey town. He was a phenomenal musician and an even more amazing human being.

very nice job by Larry, I am very sad to hear of his passing. and I liked the tone on the guitar and he has a good crasp of the song, The band is much more than a "cover" band LOL

From Cleveland to New York no raido and only BST/Al Kooper eight track it couldn't have been any better. In the old VW Bug with my brother winter 1969

These guys lifted me out of deep depression when I was young. I love this music now just as much as I did then. Long live them all.

Please tell me what do you think of my band's cover to this song :P

Larry was a year ahead of me in high school. He and his fellow bandmates were our heros. I'm watching this video over and over with tears in my eyes. We all followed his career from back home as best as we could. I've not seen a video of this quality and this late in his life before. I am so proud :)....yet so very sad. Thank you so much for posting this. I have posted it on Facebook, so you are likely to get more than a few visitors soon :) We all miss him so very much!!

@skifreak201 Thanks, skifreak201 for your heart-felt comments about Larry. Indeed, Larry is greatly missed by all who knew him and played with him. The world of music is forever at a great loss since his passing. NO ONE ever has or ever will play and sing like Larry DeBari.

guesting at a wedding, larry transformed "fame" with exceptional soloing and by adding diminished chords, moving voices and chord substitutions. we spoke of music, life on the road and difficulties in keeping relationships. i studied with jazz legend chuck wayne; we agreed to get together to play and share ideas. sadly that never happened. i just learned of his passing while intending to write an article about him for just jazz guitar. how very sad. what a loss for all of us. thnx for the clip.

@niwri7 Thanks for passing on that story, niwri7. That sounds like Larry all right. He would make every song he played his own! Indeed, this iteration of BS&T should have been called "The new sound of BS&T featuring Larry DeBari." He is greatly missed!
