Just be aware that it wasn't actually a 300 foot release, usually releases are 3000'. You'd be under the ground at 300' as the airport is 500' MSL (sea level). And they weren't upside down flips, as those gliders aren't rated for aerobatics. What those were are called wingovers. Beautiful view isn't it?

"It's much better up there." He is so right. I liked the song, seemed like the perfect song to capture the feeling of soaring to me. Man that ASK looks EXACTLY like Joe's ASK. Nothing like the feeling you get when the rope releases and the towplane banks away from the glider. The truest freedom I have ever felt.

I just had to say here that my mom sent me an email about where we were right before I was born in 1972 she told me Harris Hill competition got moved to Sugarbush due to the Agnes flooding. I typed in"1972 soaring" and got this video. Joe Perruci taught me to fly in his ASK-21. My dad was Jim Lippincott and I feel like he's with me right now telling me about the acrobatic capabilities of the ASK-21 because I found this video. Thank you for posting this. Best times of my life were in the ASK-21.
