Dawn Danby is an interdisciplinary designer and sustainability consultant. For nearly a decade, Dawn has been tracking the emerging field of sustainable design, working with green builders and ecological land planners, product developers, public artists and engineers. While in Austin, Texas, she apprenticed with the Fisk-Vittori team at CMPBS, and in furniture design with Macek Furniture. In 2005, she designed a $3.5M tree-covered, wind-powered pedestrian bridge on the US-Canada border as part of Windsor, Ontario's Green Corridor initiative.

Dawn has been a contributor to WorldChanging.com since 2003, and is a co-author of WorldChanging: A User's Guide to the 21st Century. In 2007, she was awarded a competition fellowship with the Royal Society of Arts (UK) and was a runner-up in Metropolis magazine's NEXT Generation design competition for Beeline, a project for optimizing and supporting local food systems. She is currently working with Autodesk to embed sustainability tools into design software.

A Canadian liaison for the o2 Global Sustainable Design Network, Dawn studied industrial design at the Rhode Island School of Design (2000), and has an MBA in Sustainable Business from the Bainbridge Graduate Institute (2007).
