While discussions continue over the possible nomination of Senator Hillary Clinton as the next Secretary of State, President-elect Obamas transition team announced Wednesday that Tom Daschle, the former Senate Democratic leader, will be named secretary of health and human services.

As speculations abound over who President-Elect Obama will name to key cabinet positions we look at some of the central figures advising Obama, many of whom are leading candidates for posts in the next administration.

The website Politico reported last week that 31 out of 47 people named so far to transition or staff posts have ties to the Clinton administration. Today we host a discussion on what this means for Obamas mandate for change.

I've heard people call Mother Jones a gatekeeper conglomerate, now I know it's true. Corn is a shill, apologist, tool, and babbling fool. Twice, Corn spewed mindless banter for three or so minutes and had to be cut off because he had no point. He just diverted from the topic into what sounded like musings of a homeless schitzophrenic who knows Washington names.

Jeremy Scahill is right on the money. Obama is a smooth act alright, but don't expect any real or significant changes in U.S. policy, especially as regards the seizure & control of oil & gas assets in the Middle East. He gets his instructions from the cabal - the Kissingers & Brzezinskis, AIPAC, Halliburton, & the military-industrial lobbyists. Just look at Obama's pre-election rhetoric then compare it with his political appointments & his actions. Change we can believe in? Yeah, right!
