  • beautiful photographs. When I went to China last year all I saw was city, city, city. I wish I had the chance to see some of the beautiful countryside. This is on the Vietnam border, yes?

  • yes the province is on the Vietnam border, I think Guilin is more towards Hunnan province though.

I've never been to Guilin actually, so I hope the place looks as good as these photos!! :)

  • Actually, the photos don't even come close to expressing the beauty of Guilin. I spent 6 months in this enchanted place. My fiance is from Guilin and we plan to retire in Guilin to live out our golden years.

  • I'm living in Guilin as an exchange student right now :)

  • Wild China from BBC is amazing and a must see for anyone that loves this. Simple the most exotic and unchartered natural habitats hidden within the vast & diverse topography of China-Yunnan's forests, Tibetan plateau, the Silk Road and Mongol steppes-Shangri-La etc. Breathtaking landscapes & rare wildlife! (Travel via Netflix; 2 disks-6 hours)
