The Higher Power of Lucky by Susan Patron

This is an interview of Susan Patron, author of the Newbery award-winning and controversial children's novel "The Higher Power of Lucky." The interview is conducted by Cynthia Kadohata, author of the 2005 Newbery winning KIRA-KIRA, where Patron delivers a powerful message to kids about the importance of books.

Our boys are now 13/14 & 15/16. When they were in elementary school , I had a wonderfull rapport with their librarian. One of my Amazon reviews is for a kids Newberry winner. I can't wait to discuss this with her. Oh yeah, BTW. SCROTUM ! BFD. Sue me. ;-)
