Lou Dobbs uses Wingnut Front group to attack SEIU and Obama

Lou Dobbs did a complete hit piece on Obama, ACORN and the SEIU yesterday and used Rich Berman's right wing front group that acts like a non partisan organization to do it. Shame on you Lou.

Dobbs shamelessly used a group called Center for Union Facts, which is another word for "smear" and CNN should be ashamed of themselves. If you've never heard of them, here's a little info: The Center is the latest public relations campaign and front group devised by notorious D.C. lobbyist1 and veteran spin doctor Richard Rick Berman with his firm, Berman and Company. The Center for Union Facts is a front group focused on damaging the public image of unions, depressing workers rights, pushing legislation that would make it more difficult for workers to join unions, and furthering an anti-union business climate. Berman earned his status as one of The Hills top lobbyists, along with Jack Abramoff,2 by working on behalf of unpopular clients like the tobacco, alcohol, and fast food industries. Bermans campaigns have attempted to relax drunk driving laws, argue obesity is not a public health issue, prevent increases in the federal or state minimum wage, and attack advocacy groups like Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).

...I lived in Chicago and marched alongside the SEIU quite a few times for various things, but every cause I saw them back was about workers' rights, not about using money and power to buy and sell Senate seats. I think it's funny that this report attempt to equate organized labor with overreaching political influence; if labor rights activists had THAT much power, we'd have gotten minimum wage up to $12 an hour and instituted universal healthcare by now.

Oh, really! I'm a small scale farmer & conservative. My job entails that I know how to grow both crops & animals, weld, do machical repairs on the machines that are required to run my farm, do fairly advanced carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, & concrete work. I work 7 days/wk, 365days/year, 4am-?? w/ little time off. I do all of this with some help from my family a little hired help. I do all this with pride and without bowing to a Union master.
