@imsoulpirelli This is analog, i have one! The digital reel to reel came in 1 inch and 1/2 inch for 24/48 tracks as a Digital audio stationary head,,better known as DASH format, which sounds real stale sounding to the ears, as analoge color the sound. All reel to reel uses 2 reels. hope that helps!

@Fading0815 Thats the Fat sounding MCI-JH 24 series 24 track machine. This recorder was favored for its smooth fat sound. I use this model and they sound hella good especially running the tape at 30 ips fast speed you see here!

That's a mci jh 24 track machine! Hahh dillas tight for that! One of the best recorders out there
-
anyone knows what kinda reel 2 reel machine that is?

This is why hip-hop started sucking in the 2000's, the sound was lost.

Albums recorded to analog sound much better. CDs and mp3s from analog recordings sound way better than purely digital sourced.

Man it goes to show how many people have never experienced reels. But the way it works is like you dragging fingers in the dirt your finger represents a track as u drag it it records or lined paper. So if if you record one track you rewind the tape back to record another track. The tape machine has a recording head with many fingers on it that record on the tape like it was lined paper each line represents a track. Hope I made it clear. Oh and each track has a separate out put that can be rout

WTF! they're using tape! there is hope for hip hop!
