The new film showing the moment Benazir Bhutto was assassinated. It shows a gun emerging from the crowd and at least two shots fired.
A Pakistan television station has released footage of what it says is Benazir Bhutto's assassin, which challenges the Government's
explanation of her death. The Pakistani Government has told the party of Benazir Bhutto it is welcome to exhume her body to prove claims she was shot, as fresh
violence overnight stoked fears that elections on January 8 could be put off.
The new footage seems to contradict the Government's line that Bhutto died when she hit her head on the sunroof of her car after shots were fired and a bomb went off.
Al-Qaida linked militants denied being behind the killing of the 54-year-old former prime minister although the Government of
nuclear-armed Pakistan, a key US ally in fighting terrorism, had said on Friday it had proof of their involvement.
Ms Bhutto's party dismissed the Government's account, saying there was no hard evidence and President Pervez Musharraf's embattled
administration was trying to cover up its failure to protect her.
