  • yes but up until li-ion tech was discoverd, battery technoligy was at a standstill, now we are looking at some extremly good tech, i mean, li-poly have been shown to be 20% more charge then li-ion, also, lithium based betteries have many safety featurs like pressure realese, heat release, overcharge pretection, etc.

  • I know about that, it was the first battery. Initially, people throught that the battery was only a 200 year old invention, the discovery changes that...

  • Hydrogen motos (essentially engines) are 60 percent more efficient than gasoline (petrol) engines. That is 3 times better than most of today's gasoline engines. That's also twice times the efficiency of hybrids and the new FCX is 10 percent more effecient than the one of 2006 or 2007

  • do a google search for "the baghdad battery".

  • haha, my bad, the first electric car was built in 1883(174 years ago) but like a said, coper and lead bateries were invented 100's of years ago, in fact earliest ones date back to practecly biblicle times, if you believe they were bateries, of course they had no idea how they made these things.

  • 128 years? um...ok, but electric cars are about the same age(100-110 years) if you count the old ge cars(but we are talking ford model t times here, the batery tech was shit, i meen, lead acid? ha! li-ions are 10x more eficiant and lighter, and dont even get me started on li-poly.

  • it takes the same amount of energie to make hydrogen then it it gives, if made using modern tech. also, the charge time of these electric cars is still a bit too long, although if they used li-poly bateries it would only take about an hour to a half hour. and if their is a blackout? what if you have no power and need to run a generator? im sure electric powered generators a bit far away at this point.

  • There is a large problem with that statement, however. If this car were gas fueled, (not hybrid) it would have 69 mpg. It is the most effecient car out there, thanks to the 128 years in development. Do you research pal.
