When I was a kid, my dad finally at age 5 told me there was no Santa Claus. I asked him if it was ok to believe in him anyway. He said yes. If a person wants desperately to believe something, no amount of fact, reason, logic or evidence will sway him.

Well put! Why doesn't anyone challenge unPopular Maniacs to "explain away" why there is no video footage readily available of the pentagon's attacking aircraft, yet if I go jack a 7-11, there will be video inside, parking lot video and the police will certainly have it available for the case against me!
