Rocking back and forth is an example of how the elephants show the trauma they have been exposed to when they are beaten and chained. This is an example of the type of abuse that Ringling Brothers is being accused of by the Animal Welfare Institute and others in a lawsuit to begin in the US District Court of the District of Columbia on October 27, 2008. • @kayteeessify Most zoos are genrally very good habitats for animals. This however is a circus which is about 1,000 times worse.

  • y the heck is the tiger goin back anf fourth

  • it funny how we say its so crule that these animals are treated like this, yet when they react it all " the animal is evil killing people! fell sorry for the people that got trampled" ?! i mean what the hell!!!! some people are such ediots!!! maybe before saying stuff like that they should look at this vidio and see what stress they were in before they finally cracked and fighted back!!!!

  • The circus is a cruel joke. My 5 year old doesn't ever want to go to a circus because I educated him about how animals in the circus are treated. My family, friends and I will protest EVERY circus in my area until there are no more. We have to be the voices of the animals!

  • it also shows the stress of the tiger because it shows it pacing (1st vid)

  • Well., never know.!! what runs in their mind. but unfortunate they are chained..they should be left free atleast.

  • Those elephants are in a poor state of welfare, most specifically mental welfare. Their swaying is a steriotypical behaviour which relates to poor welfare, casued by a lack of space. Where they would usually walk around all day they end up staying on the spot. Conscious animals such as elephants get bored in captivity even with good enrichment programmes, keeping them like this is terrible, as well as against the law in most countries.

  • This is heartbreaking.

  • Excellent video! Thanks for spreading the word about respect and compassion to our fellow animals. Keep going!
