Gregg recorded this song before his album Laid Back came out in 1993, before he met Cher.

Liner notes claim this song was recorded in the mid to late 70,s. He recorded two albums at this time. Playin up a storm, and Allman and woman with Cher. He was married to Cher from 75 to 79.

I'm not sure which liner notes you are referring to. The song isn't on "Two The Hard Way", Gregg and Cher's album and it's not on "Playing Up A Storm", Gregg's album, either. The only recording I know of is Gregg Allman's Anthology, very rare and never reissued for legal reasons. I understood it was a demo prior to 1973. But you could be right. Cher and Gregg were a great love story. I love them both..

The song is on the 97 album One more try: an anthology. Besides unreleased songs like this, the album was filled out with rarities and demos, and included a booklet where the info on this song was found.
