Haydn's Serenade for Strings (from his string quartet in F Major) is one of the most delightful pieces by the austrian composer. Performed here by the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts String Orchestra conducted by Volker Hartung

  • Age range of orchestra is between 17 and 24.

Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts is located in Singapore, which is loaded with good players. (if they practise...)

    Best greetings

  • Just for information, this serenade is apocryphal. It was originally composed by Roman Hoffstetter, and put in Haydn's musical catalog by one of his students, Ignaz Pleyel.

  • If we didn't have classical music like this, we wouldn't have music of ANY kind. This lovely piece is a perfect example of why we need classical music.

  • beautiful...

  • skip to 1:00 for the music
