. . . This pisses me off. Avoiding Twilight is relatively easy. I can stay away from the books, i can not see the films. Sure the advertisements are everywhere on the internet, but I just look right past them and get through. But then this Twilight rip-off has to go on tv. . . What is wrong with this world? How do people find this shit entertaining?

I read the Vampire Diaries novel series when I was younger, and I really liked them a lot, but to see it turned into a tv series... I dunno, I guess I am just worried that they'll try and make it into a crappy Twilight thing and ruin what was a good book series (while Twilight, in my opinion, was the worst vampire novel in existance)

Exactly, like I said, they use Twilight to make this popular. I don't know if I will like it, if there is some great love story mixed in adventure action kind a stuff, it would be ok. The cast looks good.

And it's sort like a new sort of high school drama, lol. People can't get enough of that. ;)

I read the first Twilight book. . . I hated it so bad I made a two part video review of it. I'm never seeing any of the movies or any of the other books because I know I'm gonna like them. To me it seems like a Twilight rip off. Just the style and the way it's shot. Hell look at the group shot on IMDB and don't tell me that isn't Twilight inspired. You need to be a rocket scientist to see their target audience is the fans of Twilight.

The vampire Diaries are not a Twilight rip-off, the story was written way before Twilight, but yes they use the popularity of Twilight to boost this project.

Anyway, you get a little too much worked up about this. We all have different personalities and that's why some people find it entertaining. Did you ever read or watch something of Twilight to base your opinion on?

Vampire Dairies looks good. Kind a like One Tree Hill with vampires, lol.

okay i must admit twilight is starting to get on my nervs, but this book series came out long be4 twilight and is completely different...i love vampires i can't help it but i think anything that has vampires in it is entertaining well when they have fangs and dont glitter besides that i cant wait till vampire diaries comes out
