Rather than "who's word" try ANYTHING for five or ten minutes... if it sucks to you, it doesn't matter what everyone else thought. If it kicks ass to you, no one cares if everyone else hated it.
At least that is how it SHOULD be. I am not sure if humanity is smart enough to grasp that however.

Can you make a video of 'how to' do this.
Shouldn't matter the programs, I can't picture how to edit a video to cut out the background...I understand green screening but not editing a video such as mccain speaking so that everything else is green!

I was given the footage by Steven Colbert's.... group or whatever so I didn't have to make the green. But I assume they did it through LumaKeying. Look that up it can be really handy.
