TSN Announces Winnipeg Jets Are Leaving....But Are Now Home Again! ;)

This was the first broadcast that let the world know the Winnipeg Jets were in fact going to be leaving the city of Winnipeg. This was a horrible and dark day for not only the city of Winnipeg, the Country of Canada but, the World as a whole.
We all know how far reached the Winnipeg Jets fan base was and, this day will certainly go down in history as the darkest day of Winnipeg's history.
They will be back & the Light will shine brightly once again in this city!

I like how at the end the reporter (Mark Bunting) says "The Winnipeg Jets are gone, forever."....whatta dumbass, GO JETS GO!!!!!!!!!!!

Who are the gentlemen on the Desk in this TSN video from 1995? This video I believe was around 1995 during the time in May, just around 5 or so months before it was announced the team would officially move to Phoenix, Arizona.

It is great to see the city of Winnipeg back in the NHL, although I hated it that it was the Atlanta Thrashers leaving Georgia's capital city. Yet, I know that already, the new Jets are being treated better and are more appreciated in Manitoba's capital city than they were in Atlanta during their 12 seasons. At least I don't have to see those ugly Atlanta Thrashers uniforms anymore.

I just realized this was uploaded 3 and a half YEARS ago. Congratulations on finally getting your Jets back. Losing a franchise must be the worst fan experience there is.

@MyCrosbyfan87 Because, no one in Winnipeg wanted this team after all of this so, his job was to find an owner, somewhere, anywhere to take this franchise.

Why do people think it'll be the Jets? Winnipeg doesn't own the history of the team, the Coyotes do. This team will be called something different.

@Darknessking81 The NHL Owns the Rights. NOT Phoenix. A name is a name and i'm in favour of whatever Chipman/Thomson want. Jets or no Jets.
