For those interested in the law; this is how it works in California,

"A mediation followed by a confidential settlement is just that "confidential" Ms Prejean was subject to civil penalties if she disclosed terms of settlement. Larry King knew he was asking improper questions. Ms Prejean told him she could not answer because of the confidential agreement. His insistence shows what an *** he is. I also find Ms. Prejeans behavior at times bizarre. But this time SHE WAS CORRECT"

If she had a prior arrangement that she would not be taking calls, as she claims was part of the arrangement of her appearance, then she surely had a right to retract her end of the bargain at that point.
