So this is what happened when I put the replacement Muvi back on my bike, once again mounted on the bars.

The new camera doesn't have any battery issues: it holds its charge overnight and has run for around 1 hour 30 minutes without a problem - I haven't had the chance to run it until the battery goes flat yet. The 'freeze frame' effect from the original camera was down to the supplied memory card being too slow: I ran the new camera with a Samsung 8GB Class 6 card and had no problems. The frame rate is still about 21fps.

The 'ripples' are definitely down to the vibration the camera is being subject to: at certain engine speeds they just about disappear, at other speeds they become really bad. The obvious solution is to fix the camera to my helmet - or me - so it doesn't suffer so much from the vibration.

  • You can improve the sound quality by just taping over the microphone on some cameras - check my vids. Not sure about yours.
