  • who knew this movie could see the future?

  • Its one thing to sit and watch this movie and comment on YouTube, but ask yourself, why did Frank Capra make this film in the first place? For money? For fame? Here's a better question, Why does this movie still appeal to the hearts of men so many years later? THINK ! Perhaps we should get out from behind the keyboard and do something, myself included.

  • @TheItsdima Very well put Thet. I think they get there with honesty in their hearts, some of them, but then get into that political bubble of privilage and they stop talking for the people of their states and talk for themselves. It all seems to be, as you said, about $ but it is also having that kind of power in their grasp for the first time. They don't want to let it go.

  • @PackerBronco I didn't know that. I didn't know his name but he plays a marshall (I think it's a marshall) in my favorite of John Wayne's movies, "Angel and the Badman." He's surperb in it.

  • With all the just praise for Stewart, Arthur, and Raines, let us not overlook the warm and endearing performance by Harry Carey Sr. as the President of the Senate, for which he was nominated for best supporting actor.

  • today's films are so rooted in irony and sarcasm... they don't make em like this anymore

  • thx,i saw this movie so long ago,its an example for the governements, what after 73 years still goes on,the big firms rules the countrys, nothing more, nothing left.

  • @MuscleDaddyCMH Claude Rains is a relic of an age where dialogue and delivery were all the film actor had at their disposal, and he was a master at that.

  • @sneakmcnasty Totally agree! Nice to see some constructive comments here for a change!

  • I'm inspired

  • watching this in government class, and this movie should be shown to everyone in washington because maybe then, out leaders would realize that its not about them or money but about honest ideals and doing whats right for the people not their wallet.

  • Mr. Smith = Ron Paul 2012
